By: Rayaan Asif
Materials I used:
· An empty plastic jar with a lid
· Aluminum foil
· Assorted beads or buttons
· Hot glue gun
· A sharp knife to create a slit on top of the jar
· A spare sheet to cover the work space
How I did it:
1. First, I covered the empty plastic jar and its lid with aluminium foil and secured it with glue from the hot glue gun.
2. Then, Mama put pea sized blobs of glue at different places around the jar and I beautified the jar by sticking his choice of assorted beads on to the glue. You may use any small objects found in the house such as spare buttons, ribbons or even coloured pencil shavings.
3. Once the jar was covered with beads, Mama took a sharp knife and allowed the tip of it to get hot on the stove until its tip became orange.
4. Then, she cut a slit in the lid of the jar, covered with foil.
Voila! My Ramadan charity box was ready.
